It is so obvious that the author is male (2 males actually) and has no idea how to write a female character. Sarah Hart is so insipid, she feels like a cartoon character.

Well, insipid female characters are not the exclusive purview of male writers. Women authors have been regaling us with TSTL characters for decades! These authors probably figure they should catch up. ;p

Yes, I know there are lots of TSTL heroines, but I've never felt a stronger sense of unreality than when I read this character's actions. It's like she is a blonde Jessica Rabbit with strings attached, lol. Plus the incredibly cheesy romance! Lol
