This is a very suspenseful while at times gory novel. (didn't bother me--just a warning if you aren't a fan of gore--never over the top) Really enjoyed the creation of a new urban legend. As with all Everson novels I have read--nice characters and great sense of place. I live in Northern California and he captured its essence perfectly.
