thing that really annoyed me on page 35:
"It has been suggested that some of the psalms celebrated the enthronment of Yahweh in his Temple on the Feast of Tabernacles, which, like the enthronment of Marduk, reenacted his primal subjugation of chaos.²⁴"
seems normal until you read the footnote:
"James, The Ancient Gods, p.152; Psalms 29, 89, 93. These psalms date from after the Exile, however."
