Y'all, the movies really made me forget the "how long have you been 17?" Was in Edward's CAR on the drive back from Bella nearly getting raped, huh...
Anyways, this book is clearly an attempt at being a modern Victorian novel and I honestly love it. The writing is on the poorer side, but the audiobook slaps and knowing Victorian lit REALLY hikes up the enjoyment of this series. FIGHT ME 😤

Not gonna lie, taking a course on Victorian lit really makes this reread enjoyable bc of how much clearly comes from that genre--Bella not eating, being super plain, her love of Wuthering Heights, being obsessed with an asshole...
