C.K. Leger I'm working on several things, actually. I'm working on a sequel to "Finding Felicity" while the ideas are still fresh in my head. I'm also re-writing a sequel to "The Golden Thread".

The slightly less creative side is that I'm re-formatting the print version of "The Golden Thread" for re-release and looking for a publisher for "Finding Felicity." This business end of writing is a bit tedious, to say the least, but I know the end result is getting my work out there to readers, and I love hearing from them so that makes wading through the business much more bearable.
C.K. Leger It depends. A lot of times I'll just start daydreaming and come up with a story line. "The Golden Thread" came out of an actual dream, where all the animals on my farm became human. My husband thought it would make a good novel, and encouraged me to write it.

Other times inspiration will come from something I see that will spark an idea. Most of my short stories were based on fairly insignificant things I saw that made me start asking, "How or why did that happen?"
C.K. Leger I went to a Christian women's conference in Dallas last February and left feeling like I ought to try to write a Christian novel. Of course, me being me, I Jonah-ed around (you know, "God, could I please, please do something else other than what's on my heart right now"). Long story short, I got serious writer's block on the novels I'd been writing. One night, after my kids were in bed, I decided I'd give this crazy idea a go. Finding Felicity was the result and (as someone who is completely biased) I think it's the best thing I've ever written. All credit for that goes to God.
C.K. Leger In the end, there were no alarm bells, for all the bell ringers were gone. The world itself was a cold and desolate place save the monsters we'd created and the few who lived to witness them.

(Well, that's a bit more dystopian than horror, but as I'm not really a big horror fan, that's about as good as it gets.)
