Hi Kristalia! I apologize for the delay in answering. I'm not on Goodreads as much as I am on my author page on Facebook and I didn't see this. :(
I have the series sketched out to twenty books, at least for the first Evaran ;) In addition to that, every new series I write (like the Earthborn) is tied to The Evaran Chronicles. I like to think of the Evaran Chronicles as my backbone series for all my future books and series. I appreciate you taking the time to post a question and I'm glad you are enjoying the series. Have a great day!

I haven't encountered this yet. I think if I did stall, I would probably walk (I am an avid Fitbitter), listen to music, watch something, read something, or focus on something else. I would then approach it, analyze it, determine where it is, where it needs to go, and how to get there.

The best thing about being a writer for me is being able to tell a story, and share it with others. It makes my day when I see someone took time out of their day to read what I have wrote and enjoyed it.
As I mentioned in another answer, I also enjoy the creative freedom it gives me. It gives me a chance to explore my imagination and gives me a realm in which to do so.

I have several inspirations. The biggest one for me is knowing that I have an outlet for my creative expression. I have always been a storyteller, and having the outlet to express it is a neverending source of inspriation for me.
I watch, read, and listen to anythig sci-fi or fantasy. There are of course tropes out there, but there is great variety to be consumed. My setting has evolved over the years and I thoroughly enjoy seeing what others are doing, whether it is film, tv, books, or music.
I listen to music while I write. I find that it helps set the mood for the type of scene I'm writing. I know some like to write in silence, and there are times I do that as well, but I have found listening to music on a low volume in the background really helps me focus and inspires my creative flow.

Several points.
1) Become a career student of writing. Research and learn all you can about the mechanics and structure of writing. I read K.M Wieland's books on the suggestion of my developmental/copy editor and found them to be very helpful. There are of course many online resources as well. I'm constantly learning and redefining what I know, so it's an ongoing process.
2) Join a community. This can either take the form of a local or online group. You will learn a lot being able to discuss ideas with other writers. You will find those who will support you and offer helpful advice when you have questions. I am active on Kboards, a community of authors. This ties into my first point, in that I have learned quite a bit since joining Kboards, both about the craft of writing, and the other side of marketing your book.
3) Keep your head up. There will be times when everything seems to be going the wrong way. No matter how low you are feeling, you can only go up from there. Stop and take a breath. Assess your current situation, define a goal to reach, then plot the points to get there. Writing can be emotionally taxing, but know that you're doing something you love.
Of course, there is a ton more that can be said here, but I decided to list the big three for me, instead of writing a novella :)

I am currently working on a prequel novella titled "The Arrival". It details Evaran's journey to the Milky Way galaxy, how he finds Earth, and an introduction to a power faction on Earth and one in galactic space. It is a newsletter exclusive, and I am planning on it being out in February of 2016!
I just wrapped up the audiobook for the "The Awakening" and it is for sale now on Amazon, Audible, and iTunes. I am beginning the process for doing the audiobook for "The Fredorian Destiny" now. Michael Pauley is a great narrator and I really enjoyed working with him. It's a guilty pleasure for me to hear the characters voiced.
Book 3 has been outlined, and I am fleshing out the details of it. I have already began the first draft, and am hoping for a late spring release. Book 3 will explore the concept of parallel timelines, alternative history, and what happens if you're in a temporally shielded object when the timeline changes.

(view spoiler)[A great question!
The Fredorian Destiny, my most recent book, is an example of asking two questions:
1) If you could travel to any place in space or time, where would you go?
2) Is Earth alone in the cosmos, or are we a part of a galactic community?
With the Evaran Chronicles, I get to explore that. As Dr. Snowden just discovered that Earth is part of a galactic community, he wants to see it. He tends to want to see what's beyond and in the future, and Emily wants to see the past.
I love galactic politics, bounty hunters, mercenaries, and exotic creatures, and felt this story needed to be more expansive in detailing the setting I created almost twenty years ago. The Fredorian Destiny touches on several places, races, and beings that will be involved in this series and others. (hide spoiler)]
