The best thing about being a writer for me is being able to tell a story, and share it with others. It makes my day when I see someone took time out of their day to read what I have wrote and enjoyed it.
As I mentioned in another answer, I also enjoy the creative freedom it gives me. It gives me a chance to explore my imagination and gives me a realm in which to do so.
