If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
Anthony Jay Cleveland What an interesting question. However, before I can answer, I need to know if you mean a fictional location or a real place and time in history? (e.g. Jerusalem during the time of Jesus of Nazareth)

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
Anthony Jay Cleveland Have faith in yourself. And stop worrying ... if it is within the will of God, it will happen. If not ... it won't. And remember, sometimes God's silence is not "no" but "wait".

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
Anthony Jay Cleveland I have read everything Rutherford has written and his style and approach has served as a model. I thought, "why not write an intergenerational saga related to the Christian faith?" The book was indeed a labor of love as it brought together three things very important to me ... faith, family and history. It is a merger of fact and fiction, myth and legend. And, hopefully, offers something of value to the reader.

What are you currently working on?
Anthony Jay Cleveland Marketing Roots of Faith. This is a new experience for me. Fun but challenging and sometimes a little frustrating.

How do you get inspired to write?
Anthony Jay Cleveland I wrote Roots of Faith for my grandchildren. As I was writing the book, it dawned on me that those who read this book might take time to reflect upon their own ancestry regardless of country of origin. And this reflection might lead them to the understanding of the fundamental importance of religious freedom. Perhaps a lesson we Americans (along with the rest of the world) need to remind ourselves of from time to time?

What’s the best thing about being a writer?
Anthony Jay Cleveland The freedom to explore new thoughts and to move them from my mind to the page. The process of writing helps me clarify what is truly important to me. To share with the world what I think really matters in life.
