I wrote Roots of Faith for my grandchildren. As I was writing the book, it dawned on me that those who read this book might take time to reflect upon their own ancestry regardless of country of origin. And this reflection might lead them to the understanding of the fundamental importance of religious freedom. Perhaps a lesson we Americans (along with the rest of the world) need to remind ourselves of from time to time?
