S.M. Soto I have considered this. Time and time again. It's something I'm still letting ruminate. I would very much like to explore the story of Valentina and Matteo, but I'm not quite sure I'm prepared for the heartbreak their book or novella would entail. We'll see what 2021 brings with the rest of the series, then go from there.

S.M. Soto YES! We will absolutely be seeing more of these characters in their own books. I don't have any concrete dates for their stories yet, buuuut I can say Luna's story will be "To Love A Saint".
S.M. Soto Thank YOU! I’m so, so happy you enjoyed Samantha’s story. <3
And honestly, I’ve always wanted to write a character that’s hard to love and doesn’t fit the mold of most romance heroines - if that makes any sense. A lot of times we read about heroines with a dark past, but once that perfect man stumbles into her life, it’s like everything suddenly turns into rainbows and unicorns and sure, that may be the case for some people, but definitely not all. I think that’s what I really, really wanted to capture with Samantha’s character. Sometimes, a man CAN’T fix everything. Sometimes, YOU have to slay your own dragons in order to have a better life.

I’m not sure what really inspired her backstory, it all just sort of came to fruition, you know? I wanted Samantha to be the character readers weren’t sure if they should root for, or want to slap. I knew Samantha was the perfect fit because she’s strong willed, crass, and stubborn to a fault - she’s human, just like the rest of us.

Hope this answers at least some of your question! :)

xoxo

S.M. Soto Don't give up. Seriously.

If you want to be a writer, then be a writer. Don't let the small things in life stop you. Manifest what you want to do. Manifest what you want to be.

As a single mother who was once a teen mom, I won't lie and say it's been easy, because it hasn't. It's hard. So hard. The fear of failing is always in the back of my mind, but at the end of the end of the day, I have to remind myself who I'm doing this for - myself and my son.
S.M. Soto READ. I always read when I have writers block.

I had the flu for a while, so I took some time off from writing to focus on getting better, and when I eventually did get better, I felt so uninspired. Nothing I did helped.

Instead of forcing myself to write, I picked random books on my TBR list and let myself get lost in those worlds. Eventually, my characters started talking to me again when they were ready to tell their story.
