Books on history, self-help, and business. As I read them, I'll review many of them on Good Reads. Here is a sample of many I've done in the past: https://www.amazon.com/gp/profile/amz...

One of my biggest blocking problems is being overwhelmed with information I've collected in researching a topic. To overcome this, I find it quite helpful to first review and become familiar with all the material. Second, I group the information into subtopics. Then, I arrange that information in whatever flow seems appropriate. After that, I try to try to do a "Michelangelo." By that I mean, pull out the essence of what I'm trying to say, much as he described in, "I saw an angel in the marble and carved until I set him free." Bottom line: cut out the excess! This sometimes means finally winding up with 1,000 words for every 10,000 I've collected in my original research. Hope this helps!

I got the idea for "Strategy Pure and Simple" from the original summary section of what was later to be my upcoming book: "Strategic Action: How to Win in War, Business, and Life." Now, rather than repeat all the SPS information in SA, I will only have a summary of it.
