Honestly, I’m just thrilled you took the time to download and listen to the story. It was wonderful of you to leave a review. And even nicer that you posted on more than one site. But please, don’t worry about trying to submit everywhere or even feeling like you must leave a review. I really never expect a review and am simply grateful you redeemed an audio code.

There was a prompt... how would you feel if a famous monument was named after you. I thought of an annoying braggart telling the same story over and over, every time they passed said monument and Uncle Edward was born. He is not at all important to the story actually, but I envisioned him driving his nieces batty driving over the bridge, repeating a tale about how 20 years earlier, he saved a life in that very spot. The older sister would always try to toss the younger one under the carriage, so to speak. She would find a way to decline the ride, sending her poor sister in her place. I felt so bad for the girl, I had a handsome man break down on the bridge as a reward for her patience.
This morphed into a scene that starts a tale of two sisters and one handsome hero.

A new romance series. Here is the unedited blurb for book one:
Racked with guilt and blaming himself for his brother’s death, Phillip Heartford left his ancestral home five years ago.
After losing the love of her life, the beautiful Allison Morgan is resentful and angry. She has rejected countless suitors, and now, in the middle of her third season, she may be out of options.
Allison’s younger sister, Julia, is an ugly duckling. At least that is how she sees it. Although a happy marriage seems out of reach, she hopes to one day live a quiet life as a spinster. If she cannot have her own fairytale ending, she is determined to do anything to help her sister and her dear friend, Phillip, find their happiness.
Little does Julia know that Phillip has always loved her. Unfortunately, Phillip’s brother would have wanted him to marry Allison. Returning home to fulfill his duty, will Phillip be able to follow his conscience or will his heart interfere?

Its really nice to get paid to do something you enjoy. It’s extra nice to discover someone likes something you’ve written. I don’t really expect either of those things when I publish a book, so if it happens it feels like Christmas. The process itself can also be fun. It is sometimes similar to reading. I don’t know what the characters are going to say until I type it, either. I might know that the characters plan to confront each other, but the words form as they are typed. Many of my characters share my sense of humor (wink) so they make me laugh.

Cry and tear out my hair. Wait... no... that was in the past. Through 2018, my method of writing was to sit down, without much of a plan, and type whatever came into my head. I would post my chapters publically as I went to see if they were winners or losers. This was not the best strategy.
In 2019, I have been reading all sorts of books on writing, and I’ve discovered everything I am doing wrong. Here is what I need to start to do: I need to first create an outline. If I know what I plan to write before sitting down, it will help me from freezing. I should try to find a place and time free from distractions. If I have both these things but cannot write, I should ask myself if the scene just isn’t very interesting. I’ve also discovered books that discuss what an author should include in their outlines. It looks as though I need to give more thought to my writing.
