Greetings, K.C., I'm an ed therapist working with a little boy who is an emergent reader. I am looking for books that have higher interest content with few words. I found one he loved, a Brian Szelnick. Baby Monkey, Private Eye was a great pick. Any thoughts about other authors or books that may be similar? Thanks!

Oxford Reading Tree: Level 1 is a brilliant series for emergent readers, as their stories concentrate on phonics and first sentences.
Obviously, I'd love to recommend my Mouse Adventures series too, which is suitable for readers aged 0-7 years. I write in an easy to understand rhyming format, perfect for reading aloud to the little boy you're working with.

How do you deal with writer’s block?
K.C. Murphy By walking away and clearing my head, getting some fresh air, having a coffee, watching some TV. Doing anything but writing!

If you could travel to any fictional book world, where would you go and what would you do there?
K.C. Murphy I'd spend a night at The Overlook Hotel and hope the Grady twins don't make an appearance to ask me to 'come and play'

Who am I kidding? A night! I wouldn't last longer than 5 minutes!
