Ever since I beat Covid-19, my family hasn't seemed concerned about social distancing around me. In fact, they barely seem to notice me at all, even when I'm right next to them or kissing their cheeks.

I'm working on a novel set in my home province of Nova Scotia, Canada. It centers on a dying fishing community that stumbles upon an immense local rarity which may be the key to their economic survival.

When writer's block strikes, I'll typically put the actual new writing on hold and go back to review/re-read, and subsequently edit, earlier portions of that work or other pieces. Often that process will warm me up and give me the boost I need to start putting new words down, plus it keeps you productive and making progress on your written projects as a whole.
