My most recent book - Crafting With Feminism -- was an idea I've wanted to write about for awhile. Feminism is very important to me, and I think some people have lost sight of what it means -- to celebrate equality but also to celebrate the women who were trailblazers in women's rights. The book is meant to be both fun and lighthearted, while celebrating feminism as a whole.

"The Iron Duke" is still one of my favorite sci-fi romance books just for its originality and unusual characters. The world building is fantastic and the plot captivating. So I would start there. ;-)

The best thing about being a writer is that anyone can do it. You don't need a fancy degree or an expensive machine or famous friends to become a successful writer. You can do it at any age. As long as you have a story to tell and you write it down -- you're a writer. I'm honored to be a writer, and I can't wait to write another story for someone to read over and over again.

WRITE everyday. An essay, short story, poem, song, spell, article, blog entry -- anything. But WRITE all the time. The more you write, the better you will be at it. Also read not just the kind of books you love, but books you're curious about. Read both good and bad fiction to see what's out there. Read books from international authors for another perspective. Read outside of your comfort zone.

I am currently working on a few fantasy and horror book and comic ideas. I also have some quirky arts & crafts book ideas bouncing around in my brain.

I'm inspired by everything around me -- whether it's from a walk in the park with my dog or daydreaming in a bubblebath, book ideas hit me all the time. I try to visit museums, art galleries, unusual stores, tiny out-of-the-way places and other unusual spaces to find inspiration. I also get inspired by BAD books and movies too. It's a reminder that I can do something better, or more appealing to my tastes.

I deal with writer's block by getting out of my element. I go for a walk. Head to the beach. Visit a museum. ANYTHING but stay in my apartment and be depressed. Ideas can hit you in the weirdest places, so be sure to always have small notebook & pen handy.

Good question! Creativity is a slippery beast. If you don't write when the creativity bug hits, you could end up forgetting a great idea or losing out on the momentum of passion. Deadlines are important -- they have the word dead in it for a reason! But without creativity as a writer, you'll be lost forever. So keep balancing creativity with time management so you can meet your deadlines and be happy with your work.

I've always been keen to visit Scotland or Iceland. I love the ocean, and I love little villages. Hopefully, I'll eventually retire to one. ;-)

Go for it! Let me know when you finish writing it! I'd love to read it. ;-)
