Writing small short stories as these imagined conversations has become a near weekly thing for me. They all stem from or lead to dog photographs that I have been taking as part of weekly photography projects over the year. It has come to the point that when I show my wife or kids a photo they instantly ask "Is there a dogversation to go with?" and there is always a bit of disappointment when there is no dogversation. So in some ways I write them for myself, my family, and my photographs.

This one is simple. My idea for the book and all of the contents came from my dogs and my family. All it takes is slowing down enough to watch, listen, photograph, and then write it out.
