How do you get inspired to write?

David Leswick Writing small short stories as these imagined conversations has become a near weekly thing for me. They all stem from or lead to dog photographs that I have been taking as part of weekly photography projects over the year. It has come to the point that when I show my wife or kids a photo they instantly ask "Is there a dogversation to go with?" and there is always a bit of disappointment when there is no dogversation. So in some ways I write them for myself, my family, and my photographs.
