Errant's sequel (book 2 in the 12:01 Trilogy) is moving along nicely. My goal is to publish it in late Spring 2021. You can follow my progress here on Goodreads. I'll try to leave some fun teasers as I go.
I'm also working on the first book of a portal fantasy romance duology. It has some influences from LOTR, Howl's Moving Castle, David Bowie in Labyrinth, and classic fairy tales.

Writer's block isn't something I've had to deal with much. If anything, I have way too many ideas to write and not enough time to get them on paper. That's not to say that I don't have challenges in writing, but I guess I look at writing like a journey. You have a starting point with a destination in mind. Sometimes, you have to take detours or reroute.
I'm not afraid to try new things or look at a story from a different angle if something isn't working. Figuring out what works is part of the fun (and frustration, at times).
My writing process also helps. Writing isn't always in the writing. It's a mix of reading, writing, editing, and recharging with good tv. and living, in general.
If I can't/don't feel like writing, I read. I'm not in the mood to read, I recharge. If I'm feeling critical, I edit.
Perspective, attitude and flexibility is key for me.

My novella Knockout was inspired by readers of my first book, Errant. They had some really good questions and some justifiable complaints about a certain character, particularly why he disappeared for half the novel.
I had questions for that character too. Knockout was the answer to those questions and more. Of course, Knockout also generates even more questions, but more answers are coming in Errant's sequel Immortal. So stay tuned.

Writing isn't just something I do. It's part of who I am. The desire to write comes as naturally as breathing or blinking. It's almost instinctual. Even when I'm not physically writing, I'm plotting or thinking up new story ideas.
Now, inspiration for my stories is generated simply by living and asking "What if?". I also read a lot of books and watch a lot of TV.
