Goodreads asked Montrez:

How do you deal with writer’s block?

Montrez Writer's block isn't something I've had to deal with much. If anything, I have way too many ideas to write and not enough time to get them on paper. That's not to say that I don't have challenges in writing, but I guess I look at writing like a journey. You have a starting point with a destination in mind. Sometimes, you have to take detours or reroute.

I'm not afraid to try new things or look at a story from a different angle if something isn't working. Figuring out what works is part of the fun (and frustration, at times).

My writing process also helps. Writing isn't always in the writing. It's a mix of reading, writing, editing, and recharging with good tv. and living, in general.

If I can't/don't feel like writing, I read. I'm not in the mood to read, I recharge. If I'm feeling critical, I edit.

Perspective, attitude and flexibility is key for me.
