Beck Grey You don’t need to read in order. Each book can be read as a standalone. Each individual book is an individual romance that has “ guest appearances” by other characters from the series. But they don’t impact the story.
Beck Grey Hi Denise, and thank you so much for your lovely compliment! I'm so glad that my stories and characters brightened your day. That is inspiring and exactly what every author wants to hear! It makes us want to write more stories. ;)
Beck Grey Hi Rachel, and thank you for the question! Seamus is the Irish spelling of the name James. Seumas is the Scottish Gaelic spelling of James. Jamie's ancestors on both sides are Scottish so his name is spelled the way they write it.
I'm glad you enjoyed Save Me, and I hope you enjoy my other books, too!
Beck Grey Embrace Me. It's book two in my Love in the Pacific Northwest series. I've got the book outlined, and for a heretofore "pantser", it feels a bit daunting, but also like I've already accomplished so much! LOL. Now I just have to actually write the book.
Beck Grey Write. It sounds ridiculous and obvious, but writing is the best thing to do if you want to be a writer. Practice your craft. RP with fellow authors. Beta for other authors. Read books in the genre you want to write. Listen to audiobooks in that genre. Learn what is expected by a reader in that genre, so you don't disappoint your fans. But mostly, just write.
Beck Grey Writer's block usually happens because the author is trying to force the story in a certain direction and the characters don't want to go there. When this happens to me I stop, consider what the situation is and why I don't want to write what I think happens next. Sometimes I'll skip to the scene after the one I'm having trouble with, and then go back to it once I've written more. Sometimes I'll scrap what I thought should come next and take the scene in a totally different, unblocked direction.
