Kenneth Roland Once I have an outline, it takes more discipline than inspiration. I try to write 1,500 words a night, usually takes about an hour or so. I schedule it in pretty much and just sit and write. If I don't find the words are coming, then I'll either update my outline or go program games instead. The important part is to get back to the writing the next night.
Kenneth Roland I think there is two things. First, holding the physical book in your hands, something you created and made. Doesn't matter how it's received or how well it does, you still made it and that's an amazing feeling.
Second is definitely hearing from others that have read it. Again, good or bad, it's just nice to know if affected them enough to let you know.
Kenneth Roland I watched the movie "Rubber" about a tire that comes to life and goes around killing people ... the very next morning as I opened my garage a tire rolled past the front of my house. I ran out into the road and saw no one on the street. The tire continued to roll down the street and wound up on a neighbours lawn some doors down. I've never discovered where that tire came from ...

Kenneth Roland I found an old 1970's hardcover book at my local thrift shop about Higher Sense Perception. It included a section on the Psychic Telephone which I found to be a fascinating idea. I then wondered what kind of security would you need on your psychic telephone to stop spam calls and scammers. That lead to the basic idea for this book.
