Jack's son, John, is in charge of his father's estate. He has been licensing authors like me to write novels set within "Vance Space," the Gaean Reach and the Dying Earth. The publishing series is called "Paladins of Vance."
So, the settings are available, but not the iconic main characters. In my case, I created Morwen Sabine, a child of people stolen from Mount Pleasant and sold as slaves in the Beyond. She escapes and comes back to Mount Pleasant to find a treasure her parents hid so she can buy them out of slavery. But problems ensue.
The book is called Barbarians of the Beyond. It's available as an ebook, paperback, and audiobook.

It generally doesn't matter in which order you read them, except when they're a two- or three-book series. So, Fools Errant comes before Fool Me Twice. With the Hapthorn books, it's best to read the short story collection first, then Majestrum, Spiral Labyrinth, and Hespira.
I'm just finishing a Dying Earth novel, The Ghost Wrangler, that uses some of the characters from the Baldemar stories and A God In Chains, and revisits some of the same locations.
Clangorous is good. I might use it instead of cacophony sometime.

I used to know how to do that. I'll see if I can relearn it.

I've got a house sit lined up for the summer in Prince George. After that, who knows?

Hello, Dee:
Immediate answer: I don't know. The ebook rights are with PS Publishing, which has only recently gotten into ebooks. I'll send them an email and ask.
Cheers,
Matt

Hello, Edie:
I'm glad I have been useful and I hope you have no more terrible times.
I write in different styles that are intended to fit the characters and the "mood" of the book. A Wizard's Henchman is about a hardboiled private eye -- a "confidential operative" -- who goes through some rather awful times of his own and finally confronts a serious evil.
So, no constraining editor. I consider myself a crime writer trapped in a fantasy author's career, and occasionally I like to write a little Sam Spade. Erm Kaslo is one of those occasions.
Thank you for reading me.
Cheers,
Matt

Hello, Karl:
Before they can bind the limited edition, I have to sign individual signature sheets for the front of the books. But PS is in Yorkshire and right now I'm housesitting in Washington State, USA. I've just had an email asking if they've arrived yet, so we're starting to wonder if there's been a delay somewhere inbetween. If they don't show up soon, PS will have to print new ones and courier them to me. I'll turn them around in a day, but September is looking dicey.
Send me an email -- address on my web page -- and I can send you a PDF reading copy, if you'd like. Since you've already ordered the book.
Cheers,
Matt

Hello, Aaron:
I'm not doing any planning at this stage. These things always depend on the numbers. My PS limiteds sell out, but there are only 100 copies of those. This book is out in a trade hc edition and an ebook as well, which is a first. There may also be a paperback in a year or so. If it sells enough copies, PS will see sense in commissioning a sequel and I'll write one.
