Hi As seen in your bibliography web page you write many books in the Archonate universe. Is there a recommended reading order? I read a comment from you somewhere that you plan to "reuse" some characters in a new book. I just learned a new word: clangorous It might come in useful :)
Matthew Hughes
It generally doesn't matter in which order you read them, except when they're a two- or three-book series. So, Fools Errant comes before Fool Me Twice. With the Hapthorn books, it's best to read the short story collection first, then Majestrum, Spiral Labyrinth, and Hespira.
I'm just finishing a Dying Earth novel, The Ghost Wrangler, that uses some of the characters from the Baldemar stories and A God In Chains, and revisits some of the same locations.
Clangorous is good. I might use it instead of cacophony sometime.

HI Matt. I bought the ebook of your latest, A Wizard's Henchman, about a week ago. Absolutely awesome book. I could not put the damned thing down. Ended up reading half of it in one sitting! My question: How many volumes are you planning in the series? I hope this one sells like hotcakes; if there is any justice in the world, it will indeed.

Hello, Thank you very much for creating deep, funny and wonderful stories. Your books and stories have helped me through some very terrible times. I re-read them frequently. You even have your own shelf. I have your newest book " Wizard's Henchman". Your style seems changed. I was wondering if you had an editor constraining you on that one? I enjoyed the book, but missed your humor. Cheers Edie
