Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Aarya! Thanks for your question! It's SO hard to answer this as each book has a special place in my heart. The Lonely Hearts Club was the first book I wrote so that's very special to me. Better Off Friends was the easiest writing experience I've had. I really love Take a Chance on Me as it brought me back to writing YA romcoms, which I love--and I wrote about my new home, London. Of course, I'm working hard on The Taylors Versions and I really love those characters. So ah, that's the long answer! :)
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Emmaline! Thanks so much for your question--so happy you like Better Off Friends! I got the inspiration for the story from a conversation with my editor, David Levithan. He was remarking on a friendship I had written in one of my books between a girl and a guy (Take a Bow) and said, "Have you thought about writing a YA version of 'When Harry Met Sally'?" Which is one of my favorite romcoms! It's the story of a guy and a girl who become very close friends and asks the question Levi and Macallan pose in the beginning of the book: can a girl and a guy just be friends? And I went from there! :)
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Channing! Ah! I'm SO excited for Love Stories to come out--and working away right now on the sequel, Cruel Summer! Scholastic is putting it down as 12 and up. It will be in the Scholastic Book Fair so it doesn't contain any adult language and would be appropriate for 6th grade and up. I hope this helps!
Elizabeth Eulberg Thanks so much, Ruby! I'm so glad you liked Better Off Friends! I'm happy to report that yes, I do have books that are similar--one that hasn't been announced yet--but hopefully soon! You may also like Prom & Prejudice and Take a Bow by me, or The Lonely Hearts Club. Stay tuned for more and happy reading!
Elizabeth Eulberg Thanks so much, Jordan! As of now there will only be four books in The Shelby Holmes series. I did love writing about Shelby and Watson, so never say never! ;) I AM working on a new series which should be announced soon. Stay tuned!
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Clara - yes! There IS a sequel to The Lonely Hearts Club called We Can Work it Out. Happy reading! :)
Elizabeth Eulberg I'm VERY happy to report that Past Perfect Life is now available on Audible! Hooray!

Hi Scott--thanks for your question! I don't believe there are any plans for Past Perfect Life to be released in audio. The rights are owned by my publisher and it's up to them. I also wish more of my books were available in audio--hopefully some day!
Elizabeth Eulberg Thanks, Courtney! That means a lot to me as Just Another Girl was a hard book to write. I came up with the idea years ago when I was on tour with author Jackson Pearce, who did a modern retelling of The Little Mermaid, Fathomless. She mentioned that in the original Hans Christian Andersen version, the princess that was set to marry the price wasn’t this wicked creature portrayed in the Disney version, she was just another girl. Hmmm... I started thinking about all the love triangles we see in books and movies. The girlfriend usually is painted as a villain. So, what if she was just another girl?

It was an idea I thought about for five years before I started to write. My original plan was to have Parker be this popular cheerleader with a perfect life, but she needed to have a secret. Then I decided to make her a lot more complicated. And well... don't want to spoil it for people who haven't read the book. Parker is unlike any character I've ever written about. I still think about her. Oddly enough, Hope was the harder one to write since she's closer to me (always the one pining...sigh...). ;)

Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Sol! Thanks so much. I'm so glad that LHC has resonated with you! Best compliment an author can get! As for writing advice, the only thing you need to do to become a writer is to sit down and write! (Reading a lot helps.) I wrote a blog post about writing years ago....so long ago, but all of that advice still holds true. Hope this helps: http://www.elizabetheulberg.com/behin...

And for current top 5 books - yikes! That's a hard one. I very rarely re-read books because I have so many new books I want to read. But Pride & Prejudice, To Kill a Mockingbird, the Harry Potter books, and The Book Thief are all books that I've read more than once and are on my favorite books of all time list! ;)
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Katie! (And Go Pack!) The YA that I've been working on right now also takes place in Wisconsin, so I do love it there! I think where you grow up has a lot of impact on who you are, so writing stories that take place in Wisconsin feels natural to me. I do think that there's something about Wisconsin that makes people from there talk about it. A LOT. (I just had some Wisconsin friends over yesterday, all whom I met at a Packer bar in NYC!) My teen years were spent in a small town in Wisconsin, so when I have to go back to that time to write my books, it just steeps in. Although my mom is convinced that my success is from my Midwestern work ethic, so there's that... Can't argue with Mom. ;)
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Tina! SO sorry for the delay--I don't know how I missed your question! I'm always writing so there WILL be more books after Just Another Girl. But if you're asking for a sequel to Just Another Girl, I don't have plans for one. I knew when I wrote it that there would probably be a lot of questions because I don't wrap that ending into a nice bow. I like stories that make you think. So just know that Hope and Parker are doing okay. Their lives aren't perfect, but nobody's is! XO
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Tina! Thanks so much for your very sweet comments about my books, I'm so glad you like them! :) I don't plan on writing sequels to those books (there is a 10 years later epilogue on my website for Take a Bow so you can find out what happens to Emme and crew). I do have a somewhat series for The Lonely Hearts Club with a sequel and three e-short stories. BUT! I do plan on writing more books, which is exactly what I'm doing right now! So back to work! XO
Elizabeth Eulberg Thanks, Diana! YES! The Great Shelby Holmes Meets Her Match will be out September 12th and a third Shelby and John adventure will come in Fall 2018! :)
Elizabeth Eulberg GO ORANGE! I'm so glad you liked Better Off Friends--thanks! I studied Public Relations at SU so I went there for Newhouse. Best decision as I made some of my closest friends there. Oh yeah, learned a lot, too! ;) Thanks for your question, Erin
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Ginny! The short answer: no (sorry!). I don't have any plans to write a sequel to that book. There is a longer answer which I've already answered here, so if you go through my answers you'll see why and get (hopefully) some closure with the characters. ;)

Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Sarah, thanks so much for reading my books! I have good news and bad news. First, the bad: I don't have any plans to write anything more for Better Off Friends--I liked how I ended things with Macallan and Levi and don't want to put those kids thought anything else.

BUT! There is good news! Take a Bow DOES have a Ten Years Later epilogue up on my website! You can read it here: http://www.elizabetheulberg.com/take-...

Enjoy!
Elizabeth Eulberg Yes! I'm so excited to have been invited to the festival! Full details will be on my website soon, but my presentation and signing are on Sunday, July 24th (later in the day). Hope to see you there! :)
Elizabeth Eulberg ALEX!!! QUE PASA! ;) Hmm...can I cheat and say that I'd want to have Emme's band--Ethan, Jack, and Ben--as best friends from Take a Bow? I loved their dynamic and how supportive they were of her. BUT, if I could only pick one, it would be Tracy from The Lonely Hearts Club. XOXO, E
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi, Lucia! I would LOVE to come to Peru! I've heard from so many readers there and hope that one day I will be officially invited to come. Fun fact: authors have NO control over where they visit. They need to be invited by their publisher or a festival (as it is expensive to travel). So I've got my fingers crossed that if there is enough interested, I'll be officially invited to come! If so, I'll be there!
Elizabeth Eulberg Hi Annie! Unfortunately, I can't share anything. I really wish I could as I'm really excited. I have a feeling I'll only be able to say anything if it actually happens (as in, the movie is being made instead of simply being in development). Fingers crossed it'll get the green light! Thanks for your question (and enthusiasm). XO
