Raymond Gaynor All my life, I seem to have had the unique ability to look 25 years or so into the future in direct contradistinction to Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's Sherlock Holmes point to his dear friend Dr. Watson, "You see, but do not observe." When I look into the future, I am rewarded with a clarity of observation, the result being my personal penchant for science futuring rather than science fiction or fantasy. It's this ability that is central to the plot of the sequel to my Amazon genre bestseller THE EDGE OF MADNESS (Aignos 2020) by Raymond Gaynor, called tentatively "Prophecy" that would (and I believe) will prove to be a singularly intriguing plot, namely, the result of looking into the future of the future.
Raymond Gaynor KINGSLEY & I (second edition coming soon) by Gary Martine, QUANTUM DEATH by A. G. Hayes (Savant 2016), TOTAL MELTDOWN (Borgo/Wildside 2009) by William Maltese and Raymond Gaynor; THE TURTLE DANCES (Savant 2013) by Daniel S. Janik.

Raymond Gaynor Wrote a book. Didn't sell a single copy.
Raymond Gaynor Oddly enough, I've never experienced a true "block." I've put aside a work for days, months, sometimes years, until the characters call me back to tell their stories.
Raymond Gaynor Sharing a story, adventure or idea with another person, young or old, is one of the greatest experiences of life. Being a writer allows me to live that life, and experience firsthand that joy.
Raymond Gaynor There's no substitute for writing. I have made it a point to engage in active writing, either journalling or working on specific projects, every day of my life. It's within the crucible of publishing that one tempers one's style, sharpens one's wordplay, and ultimately awakens the curious child within. Curiosity -- discovery -- discipline is my winning combination.
Raymond Gaynor I'm currently working on two manuscripts: The first is a sequel to QUANTUM DEATH with A. G. Hayes tentatively called "The Bridge at Vitorio Veneto" in which Koski and Falk face one of most grueling adventures when they each are forced to dig deep into their pasts. The other is a novel tentatively entitled "The Sword of Kamehameha" surrounding a 13th century sword that makes its way from feudal Japan to contemporary Hawaii.
Raymond Gaynor I've been an author since I was sixteen years old, when I wrote my first novella, a sci-fi thriller called "The Hyperbolic Curve." I learned authoring in the heat of the fire, papering my bedroom walls with pink rejection slips until in early college, I had my first poem awarded and published. After a lifetime of authoring non-fiction for journals, magazines, collections and textbooks, I finally got my fiction break and have been publishing fiction since.
Raymond Gaynor It was during a convivial telephone conversation with master thriller author, A. G. Hayes, that the plot for QUANTUM DEATH (Savant 2016) evolved, including the deepening of the relationship between protagonists Koski and Falk. Having previous read and discussed together a manuscript by Hayes that was still in pre-publication at the time, but recently released -- namely FINDING KATE (Savant 2016) -- it seemed like she what calling out to the two of us to be included in QUANTUM DEATH and so she was. I borrowed heavily from my own interests in world politics, global financing, quantum physics and my previous military service in constructing the first draft. The work progressed quickly from there.
