How do you get inspired to write?

Raymond Gaynor I've been an author since I was sixteen years old, when I wrote my first novella, a sci-fi thriller called "The Hyperbolic Curve." I learned authoring in the heat of the fire, papering my bedroom walls with pink rejection slips until in early college, I had my first poem awarded and published. After a lifetime of authoring non-fiction for journals, magazines, collections and textbooks, I finally got my fiction break and have been publishing fiction since.
