For fiction, I'd recommend my friends Tracy Higley and Mesu Andrews, Jill Eileen Smith, and others like them.

Hi Kelly,
A.G. writes for the general market. As for his personal faith, that I don't know. :)

Hi, Kelly! I have not--I will check it out, though!

Hi, Kelly! Thanks for the question. I love writing each book for different reasons, but I will admit to a certain bias toward The Legend of Sheba because I wrote it during a time when I was falling in love with the man who would become my husband--and he proposed at my first book signing for it when it came out right there in Barnes & Noble!

Hi, Carolena!
The Progeny is currently in development for TV (yay!!!) Though I'm not planning more books in the series at this moment (I've just finished a book called The Line Between that you can take a super-early peek at here on Goodreads), I am giving away copies of the e-short Progeny Lost Stories about a few of the other characters in the book this month (details here: http://toscalee.com/firstborn-paperba...).
Thanks for the questions!

Right now on my desk: an advance copy of Lydia Kang's A BEAUTIFUL POISON. What a smart and beautifully written tale of intrigue in 1918 New York!

Hi, Zvezdochka!
Thank you so much for your question and for reading Sheba! I'm not sure which of my other books will be translated, but I hope you see more from me in Russian very soon. I am familiar with India Edghilll's "Wisdom's Daughter,"--very good book!
Sending love to Russia!

Hi, Tom! Actually, I had no idea until I was in college. I had written all my life and won contests in school... I just never really thought of it until my freshman year in college when I was talking about why I loved novels so much to my father and blurted out "I think I want to write a book." That summer, I wrote my first one (which is still in a crate somewhere in my basement with all the other skeletons ;). I tend to serve churches I don't attend (as a guest speaker, etc.) but attend closer to home quietly. I just married last year and am new to the area, so they know my husband better than me. :)

(view spoiler)[Hi Tosca! I just became a fan :) quick question on Sovereign: just started but confused: if Feyn became Dark Blood under Saric, and he had "fixed" it so creation couldn't kill "maker, how is she against Saric? She saw the "light" from Johnathon in the tent, but then became Saric's Dark Blood, but she's against Saric AND Johnathon? I am also sad that you brought Triphon back , to have him killed first thing/book 3? :( (hide spoiler)]

Hi, David!
I love reading lots of things, from historical fiction (which I also write) to suspense, to humor. Lately I've read Scott Sigler's ALIVE, Victoria Aveyard's RED QUEEN, A.G. Riddle's DEPARTURE, and Jenny Lawson's FURIOUSLY HAPPY to name a few. :) Thanks for asking!

Hi, Moyosore! Sorry about the broken mind (muhaha :D). The sequel, FIRSTBORN, comes out in February! For your question, I get ideas by paying attention to things that interest me--whether in the news, from history, stuff I hear from others, and from readers (it was a reader who asked me to do a story on Elizabeth Bathory. :) Try keeping a notebook or folder of little snippets of thoughts, articles, or topics that fascinate you, and look for common threads in the books you gravitate toward. Good luck!

Hi, Marian. :) Good question--sometimes they're ideas I've toted around for a while (from the news, or weird musings, or things that interest me), and sometimes they're suggestions from others. The Progeny ended up being a combination of both. I hope you enjoy it!

Hi, Rachel,
Sorry I just now discovered your question waiting patiently here for me! Making a living as an author is awesome and scary (readers, be sure to support your favorite authors!) But it's a dream I've had for a long time, and even on my worst days, I remind myself that I am so very fortunate. It came about because my writing schedule was so full there came a point that there was no way I could do both fully or well. I had to either hold on to my job and sacrifice the growing momentum of my writing career, or let go of security and take the leap. Giving up a regular paycheck and health insurance was scarier than I thought it would be, but I haven't looked back. :)

Hi, Rebecca! Thank you for writing and yes, it's a very small world! I'm so pleased to hear about your discussions with your son. I'm not planning another book like Demon for the moment... but you never know. ;) Meanwhile, I have a new adventure coming out this spring--stay tuned!
