The Progeny sounds like it's going to be a really great story. How do you come up with the ideas for your stories?

Hi, Marian. :) Good question--sometimes they're ideas I've toted around for a while (from the news, or weird musings, or things that interest me), and sometimes they're suggestions from others. The Progeny ended up being a combination of both. I hope you enjoy it!

Hello Tosca... I'm asking this question of several writers (some friends, some strangers).... Does small-talk come easily for you? If so, do you think the ability to fill silence in conversation informs your writing at all? If not, do you think being averse to small-talk has anything to do with your taking to the page?
