Geoff Woodland I can not think of any part of my life that would warrant being a plot for a book.
I've had a fortunate life - too young for one war, too old for the next - happily married for 47 years, two children - four g'children, and came to know Christ thirty years ago, what more could I want? :-o)
Geoff Woodland Always been interested in history and Merseyside (where I was born) is living history with all the signs of yesteryear being part of today, so my first novel Triangle Trade (Ice King) wrote itself. The duel title is because I self published it as 'Ice King' and a commercial publishing house wished to republished it as Triangle Trade.
Geoff Woodland Always wanted to write, even though I was near the bottom of my class for English language. Later in life I started with poetry ( very bad) and then a novel set in the Persian Gulf, which was based on my own experiences in that area. When the 1st Gulf war started I stopped the novel, because real life had over taken my story even though my story was set in the 1960's.
Geoff Woodland Sequel to 'Triangle Trade' and a book of my travels that I hope will be 'different'.
Geoff Woodland Read, read and read again and find authors who inspire you - an author that you can say 'I wish I could write like him / her.' You don't know if you can write like your favourite author unless you try - not to copy others, but to write in your own style.
Geoff Woodland Entertaining others who have enjoyed my writing. Not just novels, but the travel blog as well.
Geoff Woodland Force myself to write - if it is rubbish I can always change it later
