I truly hope there are many more Sarah Gilchrist mysteries in the pipeline. Though I just discovered the novels this summer, she has become one of my favorite characters. I am listening to The Unquiet Heart in book on CD and could listen to the characters talk for hours on end. Will any future novels include anything about this historic background to women in medical college in Scotland?

Kaite Welsh Thank you so much! Sarah's definitely one of my favourite characters too ;) There'll definitely be at least one more - THE FATE OF EMPIRES, which will deal very heavily with the women's experience in medical school. That should be out next year, I think!

I absolutely love the Sarah Gilchrist series and the books mean so much to me <3 They're my all time favourite neo-Victorian novels and definitely the best neo-Victorian ones I've ever read. Please tell me that there will be more books in the series (pretty please)?!

Kaite Welsh Thank you so much, Jackie! That's so lovely to hear. There'll definitely be at least one more - THE FATE OF EMPIRES is out next summer and I'm so excited for people to read it. I'd love to write more and I've got a very clear idea of where I want the series & the characters to go, it just depends on my publishers agreeing!
