Israa Nasir Partly from my own experiences with toxic productivity habits and partly from noticing that the books out there on productivity did not focus on the role of emotions. As a therapist, I'm aware that our habits/choices have a strong emotional component - and if we can recognize emotions and manage them, we can change a lot of our habits. So, I decided to take a deep dive into that! This book is the product of that research and I hope people feel more empowered about their emotions and develop a healthier relationship with productivity.
Israa Nasir I try to spend weekly time alone and just think about themes that I am hearing in my conversations with people, things I'm reading, and sometimes how I'm feeling about certain issues/events in my life.
Israa Nasir I do a craft - activities like puzzles or knitting or crosswords challenge the mind just enough to keep you engaged while also helping decompress. This helps with creative thinking and helps me work through the block.
