Self published on Amazon, both the ebook and paperback editions. I tried an independent publisher, who rejected it after three months because the storyline was "too complex" for contemporary readers. Your best bet would be to submit to independent publishers; major publishers rarely consider manuscripts from authors not represented by an agent. You could try an agent. Be careful, though, because some will charge an upfront fee. Don't do that.

Yes. The problem concerned side margins for chapters beginning with a faux "table of content" (for Vanguard, the magazine). I tried flush left with spacing, flush right with spacing and finally gave up. I placed the page numbers on a separate line. This isn't done in the real world, but I hoped it would be acceptable to readers. Thank you for asking. JCL
