Great question!
As far as favorite romantic couples are concerned, that's a hard one. I mean, there are so many, right? For now (and this could change later), I would have to say that I adore Westley and Princess Buttercup from William Goldman's book, The Princess Bride.
When an author combines humor and romance, I'm easily hooked! Reading "As you wish," makes me swoon and quickens my pulse!
I also love the movie adaptation. It's my second-favorite movie of all time!
Thanks for the question.

Living life and all that entails inspires me to write. When people ask where a writer finds ideas, I always think, "By living. By being aware of the people, places, and events around you." If you look carefully, you'll find more ideas than you can ever address in your writing. In order to be inspired to write, you must allow yourself to be inspired ABOUT life and living—the good, the bad, and the horrid.

Find a way to beat it down into submission. That might mean freewriting, that might mean just plowing through with sheer, brute force of will, or it might mean picking up a book and reading, which allows you to get into the mindset of creativity. For me, overthinking can be a HUGE problem. So the best way to break through is to use any of the methods above, depending on which feels right at the time.

You mean I have to choose just ONE thing? Okay. The best thing about being a writer is the FREEDOM involved with the creative process. You are in charge of the worlds and characters you create. If you write a lot of nonfiction, as I do, you are in charge of which subjects you choose to write about, and why. Being a writer is liberating in a society/world that's constantly trying to compartmentalize you and keep you in a neat, tidy box. Writing, as I'm sure it's been said many times before, is an act of rebellion.

I've always been interested in the paranormal and I founded Colorado Springs, Paranormal Association (C.S.P.A.) over ten years ago. After conducting over 100 investigations, in addition to the personal experiences I've had, I thought it was time to write about all of it.

Don't give up. You'll face opposition, sometimes from unexpected sources. Smile, nod, and go on about your business. Keep writing no matter what.

A nonfiction book about my experiences with the paranormal.
