Giulia Napoli My favorite fictional couple is the couple I created in my novel, Eighteen Months, Alie and Rina. That's because I built into their relationship everything I think is important. Friendly joking around, professional commitment evolving to persona commitment, physical attraction, equivalent interests in sex, a dom (Rina)/sub (Alie) relationship, a "you and me against the world" setting, danger, conflict, and losing each other and finding each other in a situation not perfect, but right for them.
Giulia Napoli The fourth and final book in the book series, Destiny Lost, Destiny Reclaimed. It should be available in the summer of 2021. All 4 books are heavy fetish, BDSM, somewhat dark erotica.
Giulia Napoli I get up and wander around the house, doing nothing in particular. 90% of the time, I overcome the problem within a hour or so. If that doesn't work, I'll sit and read a book about writing - plot development, character construction, adding color, etc. That always breaks the logjam for me, though I have no idea why it works.
Giulia Napoli I'll suddenly have an idea about an interesting character and an interesting situation to put them into. Once I have that, I feel this absolute compulsion to tell the story. In other words, I can't help myself, I have to write it out.
Giulia Napoli I heard about blindsimming - wearing opaque contact lenses or other vision-blocking devices - and tried it one weekend. The experience was so interesting, so profoundly enlightening (pun intended), that I crafted the 400-page, erotic novel, "Eighteen Months," around the experiences of a young woman who is blinded as punishment for multiple violations of disability laws.
Giulia Napoli I work 8 - 10 hours per day. I write for 6 - 8 of these. The other couple of hours are spent in research for a story. That's what you need to do. If you don't want to write "full time," it will rarely work for you.

Your chances of making a decent living at this are about 1:10. You write because you need to, because you love it, because you have a story that will tear you apart if it can't get out. If that's not what you're feeling, go do something else.
Giulia Napoli Watching your characters take control of the story and the plot, and pulling you along for the ride. Yes, that's how it really happens for me.
