I heard about blindsimming - wearing opaque contact lenses or other vision-blocking devices - and tried it one weekend. The experience was so interesting, so profoundly enlightening (pun intended), that I crafted the 400-page, erotic novel, "Eighteen Months," around the experiences of a young woman who is blinded as punishment for multiple violations of disability laws.
