When I hit a bump in the writing cycle, I take a break from that point in the story. I go back to the beginning of the story--or even the beginning of the series--and begin again. I edit and rewrite and tweak my way back to my block-point. Oftentimes, I am back to writing well by the time I get back to the place in my work where I had earlier left off. This doesn't happen too often, though, as I usually have the basics in my mind before I begin writing.

The obvious answer: writing. I love to write, and I love to hear from readers who have been positively impacted by my writing. I feel very blessed!

I have the entire 'The Calling Of Casey Evand Series' resolved, and I am hoping to have the second installment in the series published very soon!

I believe that every person of faith has an individual purpose for which he or she was created. We all share the primary purpose of glorifying God. But this is, in part, accomplished through the realization of our individual purpose. In addition to my calling to be a wife and mother, I'm called to write God-honoring fiction. It's as simple--and as incredible--as that.

That's a tough one. I guess I got the idea from several different facets and I incorporated them to make the story as interesting and God-honoring as I could. First, there's the mousy young girl who must learn to step outside of her own comfort zone--I can definitely relate to her in this regard. Then, there's the controlling boyfriend--I witnessed these types of relationships several times growing up. There's also false Christian guilt with a little victim mentality to keep it infuriating--how many times have we as Christians tried to operate according to our own understanding rather than according to God's sovereignty? I could go on for days. Suffice it to say, this book is a lot of little things--research, imagination, and end-goal--woven together in what I hope is a realistic and entertaining way. Ultimately, I wrote the book to expose bondage and to glorify God.
