Who hasn't fallen in love with Romeo and Juliet or Scarlett and Rhett? The unrequited love is far more memorable than..."and they lived happily ever after"...because, as we all know, "ever after" doesn't always mean happily! When true love is thwarted, all of us are given a chance to dream of a "forever love" that never dies. And for me, that is the most memorable love of all.

I’ve shared the beginning of The Atlantis Chronicles before, so if you’ve heard it, forgive the repetition…My sister, Cindy, and I were enjoying wine one night and I showed her the starts of 2 stories…she liked the one about the girl diving off the cliff, then looked up and said, “It should be about Atlantis.” It was like dominoes…instead of knocking each other over, they all stacked into place and a story was born! I’ve been along for the ride ever since!

I am working on “Currents of Will,” which is the 2nd novel in The Atlantis Chronicles. But I have 2 more books in the hopper, “Depths of Remembrance,” the 3 novel of the Atlantis trilogy, and “The Keeper,” a stand alone. I can’t wait to see how they all come out!

The best thing about being a writer is creating the stories…imagining a world and bringing it to life! The OTHER BEST THING about being a writer….is if people like your story!

I try to end at a chapter so that when I come in the next day, I reread the previous day’s writing, then usually, a sentence pops into my head that sounds like a great way to start the new chapter. After that, the characters seem to take over and write where they want to go!
