April Aasheim I just finished a novella about Armand, the nefarious warlock from The Daughters of Dark Root series. It is set in Spain in 1967 and details how Sasha met Armand and brought him to Dark Root (it is a prequel). This will be out in February 2015 as part of the Psychic Storm bundle and then released on its own in March 2015.
I'm also currently working on the third book in The Daughters of Dark Root series entitled: The Curse of Dark Root. Lots of action in this one and some questions from the previous books will be answered.
Note to readers: The Daughters of Dark Root books will be a series of at least five books and not a Trilogy!

April Aasheim Hi Joan
I'm not sure if you have seen it but I have the sequel to The Witches of Dark Root out. Its called The Magick of Dark Root.
I'm also working on two more books: The Curse of Dark Root (available late next spring) and a prequel to the Dark Root books about Armand, Maggie's estranged warlock father. It will come out this spring as part of an anthology.
Please feel free to follow me on twitter @aprilaasheim or 'like' my FB page aprilaasheimwriter or my website www.aprilaasheimwriter and I will keep you up to date.
Thanks so much for the question!

April Aasheim The best advice I can give to an aspiring writer is to move from the 'thinking' stage to the 'writing' stage. If you have ideas in your head but havnt put them to paper, you are a thinker. Once you put them down you officially become a writer.
Also, don't worry if your writing isn't as good as you want it to be at first. It takes lots of time and practice. Sure, I believe that some people have talent, but talent only gets you so far. You also have to put in the work.
Keep going and don't give up. Develop a thick skin. And really get to know who you are as a person. You are the only one who can tell your story. Stay true to yourself.
