Goodreads asked April Aasheim:

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?

April Aasheim The best advice I can give to an aspiring writer is to move from the 'thinking' stage to the 'writing' stage. If you have ideas in your head but havnt put them to paper, you are a thinker. Once you put them down you officially become a writer.
Also, don't worry if your writing isn't as good as you want it to be at first. It takes lots of time and practice. Sure, I believe that some people have talent, but talent only gets you so far. You also have to put in the work.
Keep going and don't give up. Develop a thick skin. And really get to know who you are as a person. You are the only one who can tell your story. Stay true to yourself.
