If you have ideas in your head but havnt put them to paper, you are a thinker. Once you put them down you officially become a writer.
Also, don't worry if your writing isn't as good as you want it to be at first. It takes lots of time and practice. Sure, I believe that some people have talent, but talent only gets you so far. You also have to put in the work.
Keep going and don't give up. Develop a thick skin. And really get to know who you are as a person. You are the only one who can tell your story. Stay true to yourself. (less)

I'm not sure if you have seen it but I have the sequel to The Witches of Dark Root out. Its called The Magick of Dark Root.
I'm also working on two more books: The Curse of Dark Root (available late next spring) and a prequel to the Dark Root books about Armand, Maggie's estranged warlock father. It will come out this spring as part of an anthology.
Please feel free to follow me on twitter @aprilaasheim or 'like' my FB page aprilaasheimwriter or my website www.aprilaasheimwriter and I will keep you up to date.
Thanks so much for the question!

Meditations on The Shadows of Dark Root

What I did know was that it had to be Maggie's journey, the climax to not only the storyline but to Maggie's personal growth as Read more of this blog post »
