As of right now, the series is finished with The Collectors' Society, The Hidden Library, The Forgotten Mountain, The Lost Codex, and The Collectors' Society Encyclopedia. :)
That said, I won't rule out returning to the Society sometime in the future, but that is not a guarantee.

Thank you for your kind words! Some of the books I chose because I love them, and they've had great meaning for me. For instance, both The Secret Garden and A Little Princess were both beloved when I was younger, and I always wondered what Mary and Sara would be like if they were to interact. I chose some books and Timelines because they've fit the needs of my plot lines. And then, I've chosen some because I loved the idea of people learning more about these classics. One of the greatest compliments I've had from readers of the Collectors' Society series has been that it's brought a number of people back to the classics so they can discover for themselves these rich, wonderful stories.

Hi Cassie! Thank you for your kind words! I am hard at work on the story and am excited to announce that the book will be out in the summer. Woo hoo!

First off, thank you for your kind words! I have not written a book about Hades and Persephone, but instead told their story within The Deep End of the Sea.

Hi Carol! If you want stand alones, I have two: Royal Marriage Market (a contemporary) or The Deep End of the Sea (mythological romance). My Collectors' Society series is three books into a four book series (fairy tale adult romance), and my Fate series is complete (YA/NA urban fantasy). I hope that helps!
Heather Lyons
Hi Nathasya! First off, thank you for your kind words. As of right now, Royal Marriage Market is a stand alone, but if that changes, I'll make sure I let everyone know! <3

Hi Kirsten! I always start a book after thinking quite a bit about it beforehand. Then I write several scenes to get a feel for the characters and their voices before heading back to the beginning and writing it straight through (although I will admit I typically write the end very early on to know exactly where I'm headed). I spend a lot of time thinking about my stories, characters, and arcs--probably way too much! haha. They're on my mind as I walk to pick my kids up from school, while I'm driving, while I'm running errands, even when I'm in the shower or cleaning. I like to have almost a movie-quality scene within my head prior to writing down each scene so I know exactly how it's going to work.

Thank you so much for your kind words, Neus! I am currently hard at work on the fourth book, and am excited to share it all with you once it's done. <3

Hi Chelsey! I am currently hard at work on the fourth book of the series. :)

(view spoiler)[I just finished reading the Fate Series (which I started about a week ago) and I couldn't put it down. Your writing is so pure and heartfelt and I fell in love with Chloe, Jonah, and Kellan. And they way you ended the series broke my heart (but in a good way). I wanted to know whether they ever make it back to each other?
Also do you have any advice for new writers? (hide spoiler)]

Hi Elizabeth! Thank you so much for your kind words. It is my hope to eventually put out a companion book to the Fate series that answers this question and others that readers have had about the characters. But let's just say that Jonah had reasons for doing what he did at the end of A Matter of Forever, and he's considered to be the best, most nuanced Emotional alive. ;)
As for your second question, the best advice I can give anyone is to simply write--and to write often. If you have writer's block on a certain piece, write something new just to get the juices flowing. Join a critique group or find some critique partners that will be honest with you about your work and be willing to learn how to shape and better your writing. That said, find a style that works for you. <3

Thank you! Actually, I was--but I was determined to be faithful to the originals while putting my own spin on them at the same time. I have to admit, it's hard to pick just one character as my favorite, as so many of them were fantastic to explore. Alice, obviously, for her amazing abilities to take in the fantastical, Finn for the transformation of difficult childhood to a steadfast man who values family, Mary for her unfailing feistiness, and Van Brunt for his acceptance of the foibles of youth.
Heather Lyons
Hi Loraine! Thank you for your kind words. There will be four to tie it all up!
Heather Lyons
Actually, I HAVE been thinking about putting Beyond Fate out in paperback this year! Maybe later in the summer. :)
Also, thanks for the kind words, re: The Collectors' Society! <3

Hi Kim! Thank you for your kind words! I am so thrilled to hear you're enjoying the series. I am currently working on the third book in the series and expect it to be out during 2015!
Heather Lyons
I'm so thrilled to hear you're enjoying it! I'm in the midst of writing the third book--we'll see if it takes me 3 or 4 books to succinctly tell the Society's story. :)

(view spoiler)[Hey Heather! I absolutely fell in love with your fate series! I can't tell you how many times my heart broke throughout the series. I loved the way you ended the series, but I still feel like I don't have complete closure. Do you plan on writing a novella where the twins and Chloe reunite and finally get to be one big happy, complete family?? Thank you again for sharing such an amazing series! (hide spoiler)]
Heather Lyons
Hi Charli! I have a fifth Fate companion book planned sometime down the pipe (I don't have an exact release date yet), and while Chloe, Jonah, and Kellan are not the main characters, you might just hear from them in it!
Heather Lyons
Yes! At Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/The-Collectors-...

Interestingly enough, a lot of my stories come to me in dreams. That said, The Collectors' Society was a culmination of my love for classics. When I was younger, I often imagined what it would be like if the people in the books I read were real. The Collectors' Society is my ode to all those days spent amongst shelves, libraries, and book stores. Books were and continue to be magical to me!
Heather Lyons
First of all, thank you! That truly means so much to me. I do plan on writing mythology based books in the future--but not a sequel to TDEotS. They would most likely be companion books set in the same "universe," featuring different pantheons/mythologies. My next book, The Collectors' Society, could be considered a bit similar in the fact that it features a familiar face (Alice from Alice in Wonderland) but features a story quite different than the one you might expect. :)
Heather Lyons
Actually, yes I am! I'd love to explore other mythologies.
