'The Awful Killing of Sarah Watts' was originally going to be one section in a Crime anthology I have also recently completed, but the story and investigation was so compelling and the cast of character so fascinating (I know I am bias, but it really is true) that it demanded a book of its own.

The promotional campaign for 'The Awful Killing of Sarah Watts' due out at the end of February 2018; Visitor's Historical Guide to Somerset; Bath At War 1939-45; Frome At War 1939-45; Insurrection (the third novel in the Regency Detective series I co-write); and The Coal Factory (the memoirs of a 1980s non-striking miner). It may seem a lot, but apart from the Frome At War book, the other books are with co-writers.

Thankfully I rarely suffer from writer's block, as most of my books - both fiction and non-fiction - are normally well planned in advance, so I know each day what I should be working on and that in itself gives momentum to my writing. If I do feel blocked over my writing for any reason though, perhaps a plot turn or an engaging opening sentence for a chapter, then I usually go for a walk or do a domestic chore, like washing-up or hovering, and this normally works.
