Craig Anderson Hey Andre,

Thank for the question!

Level Up is going to be part of a series, I am just finishing up book 2 at the moment (Power Up) and am hoping to launch it in the next couple of months.

Not sure how many books will be in the series, but there will be at least four, and possibly more depending on how the story develops.

Thanks!

Craig
Craig Anderson I learned this lesson the hard way. My very first novel has never been released because I edited the soul right out of it. I must have gone over it 20 times, i was so desperate to have my first book be 'perfect'. I got stuck in a loop of cutting things and then adding new things, only to cut them later. I did this for months.

I got tired of the endless editing loop, so I took a break and wrote a novella (Getting Lucky). I re-read it once, did a couple of quick revisions and then threw it up on Amazon on a whim so I could learn the process and work out the kinks for my 'main' book. Turns out nobody cared it wasn't perfect, they liked the story and asked me to write more, so that's what I did.

I don't let myself get stuck in editing limbo any more! :)
Craig Anderson I have several books on my summer reading list, all from Indie authors. I am just finishing up Metropolitan Dreams by Mark King and then I have The Adderstane by Avalina Kreska and Awakening by KM Fortune.

I'm also reading a couple of non-fiction books, Steal like an artist and Productivity for Indie authors. Got to keep my writing craft sharp! :)
Craig Anderson I saw a hand written banner on the drive to work this morning that simply said I'M SORRY KATIE. I really want to know who wrote it and what they are sorry for!

It also got me thinking how this could be the start of a story, imagine you were driving to work and there's a large sign with your name that's apologizing, but you have no idea if its meant for you, who wrote it, or what they are sorry for...
Craig Anderson Write every day. It doesn't have to be particularly good, just get into the habit of sitting down and putting words on a page (virtual or otherwise). Write flash fiction, write short stories, write emails to long lost friends, whatever it takes to get words out of your head and into the world. You can do a lot more with words that are written down than words that are trapped in your skull!
Craig Anderson Writing is a great creative outlet and you can do it pretty much anywhere with nothing more than a pen and notepad. You are only limited by your imagination. In this digital world literally anyone can write and publish a book and get it out there so that others can read it. It truly is a great time to be a writer!
Craig Anderson If I get stuck with something I am working on I write about something else. That could be a different chapter of the same book, a different book entirely or something quick like a Flash Fiction. The important thing is to keep writing!
Craig Anderson I am currently working on a sequel to Lucky Shot. I'm keen to finish the Lucky Beggar trilogy and wrap up this story that's been living in my head for the last 3+ years. I'm only halfway through the first draft but I am loving how it is turning out so far. We'll see if I still feel the same way when i finally hit that Publish button later this year.
