Hello!! Constance Hopkins Snow is my (9th) great-grandmother ! I just discovered your novels and am completely thrilled. I have so many questions for you- I wonder if you'd have time for a call or a visit sometime? My name is Janis Burroughs
J.A. Snow Hello Janis Burroughs, or should I say COUSIN Janis? I don't get on Goodreads very often so I am glad I caught your message. I am on Facebook every day. My author page is called An American Family and I invite you to follow me there. Our family was a very interesting bunch! I use my author page as a blog, with updates on the series, pictures of where the family lived, etc. I am currently working on Volume Four called Escaping the Yoke, about the Snow family during the Revolutionary War period. How do you deal with writer’s block?
J.A. Snow I give it a rest for a day. Get out. Look at things differently. You need to do that once in awhile. It will come back to you. Be patient.

J.A. Snow Reading good reviews and knowing people are enjoying your books!

What’s your advice for aspiring writers?
J.A. Snow If you want to write....WRITE!! Don't let the opinions of others discourage you! It is a difficult and sometimes lonely profession but finishing a book is a bit like giving birth to a baby. The pride you feel, the protectiveness you experience. It will forever be a piece of you!

What are you currently working on?
J.A. Snow A historical series of novels based on my ancestors.
THE SNOWS OF SOMERSET COUNTY is the first volume.
BLOOD AND COBBLESTONES is the second volume.
I am now writing volume three PILGRIM GIRL which I hope to
be finish by Christmas time.

How do you get inspired to write?
J.A. Snow I have been writing for as long as I can remember! My first recollection is of the whimsical "My First Trip to the Moon" in the fifth grade while studying the solar system.

Where did you get the idea for your most recent book?
J.A. Snow Most recently I have started a historical series of novels based on my own family. It came after a lifetime of tracing my roots and it is my desire to bring the names on my family tree alive with their stories.
