I know you wear multiple hats as a writer (a Fedora and a helmet??), so which do you find more difficult: editing a manuscript or writing your own novel?

D.S. Taylor It's a lot harder to spot the flaws in your own writing than somebody else's.

Have you always been interested in historical fiction and fantasy? Do you prefer one over the other?

D.S. Taylor I've always loved fantasy since I first read Lord of the Rings when I was a kid. I actually feel that a fantasy/historical fiction blend is the oldest form of writing in existence ... the Iliad, Gilgamesh etc. Great stories inspired, but not bound by history.
