D.R. Rosier The dawn sunlight streamed through the kitchen window as I shuffled sleepily into the room. I pushed the brew button on the coffee maker, nothing happened.
D.R. Rosier I'm not against the possibility, but haven't really looked into it. Sorry it took so long to answer this question.
D.R. Rosier I greatly enjoyed writing the book, and my necromancer's story wasn't really finished yet, nor was my sorceress's, but it didn't do all that well sales wise, and you're only the second person to ever request a book two.

I took that as a hint at the the time, and moved on.

In short, it's possible, but I have a lot of other stories on the burner right now.
D.R. Rosier Plans no.

It is possible, and even likely I'll put up another free story one of these days. But I can't say when.

D.R. Rosier Not as such no. The follow up books I'm writing, one of which has already been published in the Moore World series, each features one of Andrew's children or one of his siblings from Chicago. Andrew doesn't play a large role in any of the new books, though he's present as are his mates. I believe there will be four in that spin-off series, each released as a stand-alone novel.

It was intended that way, to signify an off-page coming together of the two Moore city families. That's a little fleshed out in later books, as is other world building, but not from Andrew's or Shawn's POV.
D.R. Rosier The Moore novels are separate, and in a different world from the standalone Warlock's Sacrifice novel. which is actually the final book in the necromancer series universe.

The world building, lore, and magic are completely different between the two, so it shouldn't matter what you read first.

That said, the six books of the two Moore series should be read in publishing order if you choose to read them.

Although Warlock's sacrifice is independent of the necromancer books in the same world, and can be taken as a standalone, there are a few referrals and perhaps world building you would miss if those aren't read first. Nothing major though, just a little background and perhaps deeper details of the other races.

D.R. Rosier Possibly. I'd never considered a sequel to Sentient at first either, until I found myself writing the sequel one day.

If the world of A.I.S.A. comes back, it won't be with the same main character. His story is done, even if the world might be open enough for another book.

Right now I've got too many other projects on the burner, but I might go back and read A.I.S.A. and see what stirs. If I remember right, there were a couple of unattached A.I.s at the end of it. Still, the plot was pretty tied up if I remember right, so what's next?

Short answer is no for now, maybe later?
D.R. Rosier I won't say never, but I have no plans at this time.
D.R. Rosier My email is in every one of my books, in the back. magicwrtr@gmail.com

No discussion group, I suppose I could add one here?

magic circles? I haven't no. It's an interesting idea, and I've seen it done before by other authors, which makes me hesitant to adopt it. If an original enough approach to that occurs to me, I'll give it a shot.

D.R. Rosier In short. Yes. Erotic and explicit scenes are the only reason for the split.

As you stated, although some fantasy and sci-fi elements are universal, I do not steal from myself so to speak, and make every effort to be as original as possible from series to series while conforming to the fantasy and sci-fi genres. Obviously, there is some crossover in writing style, but that's no different than just reading all the books from one author name. Plots, characters, and supernatural powers should be different from series to series, from either name.

There are some exceptions to that, any Moore universe series should have consistent powers and world building, same with my Power of Air and Spirit Sorceress books since they are in the same book universe under D.L.

Most of my books happen in Seattle, Chicago, Dallas, etc... Places I'm familiar with.
D.R. Rosier It's something I need to look into, I know Amazon is offering that now. At the very least I'd need to get a back cover and spine for them before I could do so.
D.R. Rosier None planned.

His story is pretty much done. I won't swear that won't change in the future, but all the plot lines, personal and otherwise, are tied up in the final book.

D.R. Rosier Coffee...

I like writing, it's my hobby that I would love to turn into my job. I am not sure how to answer this. When I have an idea, I work on it in my head, the world, the plot, the characters. Eventually it gets to the point that I have to write it down.
D.R. Rosier The second book in the Cytherean Chronicles. I'm right around 11k words at the moment, just started it a few days ago.
D.R. Rosier Characters are not plot devices, nor are they driven by the plot.

Some of my earlier books show evidence of the former, not the latter. Be consistent with your characters, build them in your head by asking yourself questions of what your protagonist would do in certain situations, then stick with it. Plots are fluid, if you can't fit your original plot ideas with the protagonist, and the support characters, even the bad guys, take some time to change the plot, or find another way to accomplish it.

One of my pet peeves when reading books is when the protagonist does something completely out of character just to bring in the plot twist, or whatever else the author wants to happen.
D.R. Rosier Generally I just quit for a while. Then I think about the plot, characters, and where it's all going. Then I do something else and let it simmer. Usually it is because one of those two things isn't fleshed out in my mind enough. On rare occasions it's because I hated where I went with it, and i have to go back and start over from that point.
