(view spoiler)[It's not so much of a question but rather an observation. As I'm new to the series and reading the revamped Eden's ore: Secrets. Gabriel seems almost younger than the age it seems to have been made, in one of the chapters, Gabriel makes the comment that he's not allowed to enter a club because he's not 21 and he doesn't want to wait a year. Does the way he's treated every change? (hide spoiler)]

I swear I answered this a year ago.
It does. Gabriel is forced to grow up fast - chaos and turmoil rule his life and he sheds much his innocence quickly. He's forced to be a soldier, a leader and a hero - none of which he asked for. He's thrust into the spotlight and forced to make decisions that upset the global authority.

Hey Rebecca,
Sorry for the delay in answering. I am working on the last ten chapters of book five ;)
Yes, it's five books total - books 4 and 5 are set to be out in March - so like 60 days. Oh God, that seems close...

I was bad at writing. In school, all the way up to university, I avoided writing.
Then one day I had a thought, an idea that just wouldn't leave my brain. "How would the world work if we had no energy left?" My wife pushed me to put it down on paper - at least then it would be out of my mind and perhaps I would stop thinking about it.
Thankfully, it didn't work.
My first drafts were ugly. I doubt it was legible. But it started my journey. From there I worked with other authors, getting mentored and learning the craft. I took to it quick and with a lot determination. In the end, I truly feel I got blessed. People lined up to back the project and helped to get me where I am.

I dream. I am one of those rare people who remembers dreams. And I mean of all them. Day or night, doesn't matter. I feel like the creative part of my mind longs to create that I do it all the time without really paying attention. My mind plays out situations constantly.
I rarely get trapped in my writing and if I can't get through something I just move past it and come back.

I am working on Book 3 - Judgement. Book 2 is at the editors and getting setup for release in the beginning of December 2014.
I am doing the best I can to put out the books in a 6 month rotation without sacrificing any quality. It's quite the challenge but I got my team to help me push through and stay on track.

Everything is going to tell you to stop. Don't listen.
Be that stubborn person that doesn't give up and always remember -- there is always another way. Writing is not easy. To convey what you see in your mind to another person so they see the same thing is no easy task.
I have my good days and bad days. My ups and downs. It's tough to keep pushing through sometimes but in the end I wouldn't want to do anything else. No writer starts out as prefect or even good sometimes! It takes time to learn and develop your craft. Allow for that time -- stay in the trenches and learn, because one day you will climb out.

To create. I love to make up stories - just letting them play out in my own mind. Like a day dream. There's good and bad ones -- not every thought we have is genius but if you're lucky. You'll find one.
And
Growing. Seeing improvement in my own drafts and writing abilities is hugely rewarding for me. I love when my editor says 'Well done'. However, I still have silly mistakes I am still trying to conquer. Just relax and enjoy the process, never stop learning about the craft.

Wine, typically. Beer doesn't quite unlock the brain the way wine does. I don't know what it is about my journal, a bottle of red wine and a comfy spot. The combination removes all the barriers stopping me from getting into that creative world trapped in my mind.
If you don't drink -- take a walk where you can observe people. Honestly, people watching opens up the imagination to all sorts of possibilities. Just don't be creepy about it. A busy park bench. A Mall. A stool at a bar. Each of them will have their own elements to observe and think about.
