(view spoiler)[Oh I'm sorry. I guess I don't check my goodreads questions very often. Ok, so you're talking about the Regency Era books. Let me think. Of course Sidney and Emma are both in Lady Lockwood and Emma's Campaign. Then Colonel Stackhouse is in Miss Burton. Daniel is Meg Burton's daughter, and he's in Miss Whitaker. And also the Duke of Bramwell is in that story. In Miss Snow, the captain of the ship that comes for her is from Lady Lockwood--I just blanked out on his name. And Colonel Stackhouse and his family are the ones that go to India for Lady Helen's book. And Anna is in Lady Lockwood's book. There's a character from Miss Whitaker who returns to Scotland, and he's the MMC in Miss Leslie. And then at the very end of Miss Leslie, there's a character in the epilogue that is from Emma's Campaign. I think that's all, but I may have missed some. It's been a long time since I wrote those stories.

Oh thank you! That story is super special to me, because it's the first book I ever wrote. I hadn't thought of writing another, but maybe I'll put the idea on the back burner and see if a story pops up.

Yes! I remember you!! How have you been? My mom is our family genealogist, and she wanted to make sure I included David Sanders in the story. Also, in My Dearest Enemy, we have a relative that fought in that part of the war. I don't know if he's related to you as well. His last name was Tidwell. Anyway, thanks for reaching out. Hope everything is going well. I don't get on Goodreads very often--the reviewers are super harsh on here, so my poor little ego can't always take it.

I'm sorry. I didn't even see this question until now. I don't have a book about those two. I sort of thought about writing a short story about their courtship, but I haven't done it yet. They are pretty cute, I think. So maybe they need their own story.

I don't know...Honestly, I haven't thought about it. I don't really know much about Europe in the 1800's, aside from England, Spain, France, Italy, and Greece, and I've set books in all those. I've moved on to American History, and I really like it. So, maybe I'll stick with that for a little while.

They are stand-alone, but some of the characters appear in other books.
If you wanted to read them in order, it would be:
Becoming Lady Lockwood
Lady Emma's Campaign
Miss Burton Unmasks a Prince
Simply Anna
But it isn't a strict series where you'd not be able to understand what's happening if you read them out of order.

I have been toying with the idea of having Serena and the Duke's story as a novella with a few others. Like Marcos de Costales from Lady Emma's Campaign, and Alastair Courtney from Simply Anna. Maybe do a compilation--but, no you didn't miss anything.

I'm working on the next book in the Blue Orchid Society series. Healing Hazel. It's been slow going, lots of research. I am not a medical person, and even when I ask questions to my friends who are, they are like, um...that sounds like they need an x-ray, or antibiotics or specialized laser surgery. So, I've been learning about medicine in the 1800s, and I'm both amazed by what people could do without some of our modern technology, and also completely horrified by some of the procedures.

I love military history, and ships, so the ideas come from that. I read the Horatio Hornblower series, and Nathaniel Drinkwater, and others, and they are a little gritty, so I wanted to find a way to tell a story that didn't have all of that, but stayed true to the times. And I wanted a young woman on the ship, because of course someone has to fall in love with the captain!
The other books have followed along. I wanted to make sure they stayed with the chronological events of the war, and I love setting them in interesting places.
Thanks for your question, Rachael.
