Where did you come up with the ideas for your books? I loved both of them and I have read each one at least once. I've lost count!!! -Rachael Petersen

Jennifer Moore I love military history, and ships, so the ideas come from that. I read the Horatio Hornblower series, and Nathaniel Drinkwater, and others, and they are a little gritty, so I wanted to find a way to tell a story that didn't have all of that, but stayed true to the times. And I wanted a young woman on the ship, because of course someone has to fall in love with the captain!
The other books have followed along. I wanted to make sure they stayed with the chronological events of the war, and I love setting them in interesting places.
