Aside from promoting the launch of my novel, Tailwinds Past Florence, and readying for a nationwide book tour, I'm at work on a romantic suspense novel set in Hawaii. I'm also close to revealing a non-fiction book that I hope to release sometime in the spring of 2019.

While I can't help but feel "Super Mario Odyssey" was one of the best games ever made, I have too many fond memories of playing (and writing the strategy guide for) Legend of Zelda: The Wind Waker to answer with any other game.
That said, there are simply so many wonderful Nintendo games over the years that's it really hard to pick just one. Other favorites would have to be Super Mario Bros 2, Yoshi's Island, Paper Mario, and Metroid Prime.

My absolute favorite fictional couple is Rob and Sharon from the Amazon series "Catastrophe". Yes, this is a television series, and I'm on a book site, but I've yet to encounter such a wonderfully awful, loving, realistic, sarcastic, authentic couple in any book. Rob and Sharon are the best people. They are the worst people. And they know it.
As far as fiction goes, I really enjoyed John and Helen's relationship in Brian Payton's "The Wind is Not a River" even though the majority of the book has them separated. The trials they both suffered to get back to one another speaks volumes more than any lovey-dovey romantic scene.

I go mountain biking. Not on technical trails where I have to empty my mind and focus on the task at hand, but on the swoopy non-technical trails that run through our neighborhood. The fresh air and exercise really helps invigorate me -- I'm often most productive right after a solid hour of pedaling -- and getting outside eliminates the tendency to waste time with Internet distractions. Often, when I'm least expecting it, a solution to my problem will just pop into my head, bursting the blockage.

Tremendous job satisfaction in knowing that I helped create something. Even licensed merch books like videogame strategy guides, books that don't exist if not for dozens of software developers, artists, editors, and designers, were a source of great pride for me. After thirteen years and over a hundred books later, I still got excited when my box of author's copies arrived, or when I see my books on the shelf. The money was very good, I loved working from home and having a flexible schedule, but nothing beat walking into a store and seeing three or four books I wrote on the shelf.
